POLL: Is Jessica Simpson Fat?

Do you think Jessica Simpson is fat?
Do you really think she is now a size 8?

Honestly, no matter what her size: she is beautiful & looks extremely happy! I cannot wait for Tony Romo to propose to her because I think she would make an amazing mother and a great wife. While I did like her and Nick Lachey together, I knew it wouldn't last because they were way too young and he seems like a huge tool! ha ha!
Jessica, I am sure you are used to the positive and negative comments plastered about you all over the tabloids. Ignore them! You are extremely lucky!

So it's a Monday... You spent all weekend out and about... Now you are DOG tired but have to go to work/school and perform at your UTMOST... What do you do? Work out in the morning, drink lots of coffee, down energy drinks like an alcoholic drinks his or her liquor, or perhaps you drink green tea with a spritz of lemon juice... Well whatever you do, I sure hope it works! As for me... I absolutely adore sugar free, calorie free & carbohydrate free energy drinks that are not sweetened with aspartame. Now I have gone through a trial and error but have come to the conclusion that I adore...

Most Desirable Women?

So, you may be wondering why I have posted the pictures of these three gorgeous women! Well... it just so happens, according to AskMen.com these three are the top choices for the Most Desirable Women (2009 Edition)... While all three are stunning and I can see Marissa Miller and Megan Fox as "desirable", I have no idea why Eva Mendes would even be considered for the first spot. She is not exactly the best actress in the world and there are definitely pretties actresses/models/athletes out there... Am I completely out of left wing when I say this? Or am I missing something? I must give Eva Mendes this though, she seems like a very genuine women, not a stuck up and egotistical actress like most out there. Can you believe she even graduated from college and majored in marketing! I love when I read that "a-list" actresses actually went to college! These days I feel like the younger celebrities for-go college which really puts a damper on my mood, because here I am, with goals to make it "big" yet I am stuck in college! But why am I talking about myself... I guess the only thing I can say is, good for you Eva, I hope this doesn't boost your ego too much because I wouldn't want to have to delete what I stated above about you seeming genuinely nice!

Oh and Megan, Marissa... You two are gorgeous and deserve your rankings for sure!

Oh and for all you who are curious about how these women achieve their "flawless" figures:
- Eva Mendes: Follows the 5 Factor Diet
- Megan Fox: Eats a lot of protein (eggs almost daily) and works out daily. Cardiovascular exercise that engage her abs is what she focuses on a lot.
- Marissa Miller: Limits high quality (whole-grain) carbohydrates to breakfast time only but does splurge on cheese regularly, she is also very active and likes outdoor sports such as surfing and spinning.

24 Hour Fitness Gym Review

So despite having a fitness center at my apartment complex and belonging to a gym in town already (for another two months)... I decided to join a 24 Hour Fitness gym about 10 minutes away (by car) because the thought of a gym open 24/7 is quite the dream come true! If only the fitness center at my apartment complex was 24/7, but unfortunately it is catering to the stereotypical college student who sleeps in after getting wasted the night before.

I signed up for this gym yesterday and it only cost me $81 for the initiation fee & first month membership. What I like is that I can discontinue in 30 days and get all of my money back if I end up not liking this gym. The man I met with yesterday who signed me up was very nice & a pleasure but it struck me as odd that he worked at such a health conscious place yet was extremely overweight... But that is another topic to discuss at a later time. Since I had a day off from classes today, I did in fact sleep in until 8:30 am, but made my way on over to the 24 Hour to check out what I had gotten myself into and here is what I think:

Location: North Boulder (with over 400 clubs nationwide!)

Gym Type: Sport

Amenities: Basketball Court (yea, won't be using that), Cardio Equipment (yes sir, I am all over that area!), Free Weights (perhaps looking at this area will get me "pumped"), Functional Training Room (for classes?), Group Cycling (enough said), Group X (I will have to figure out what that means and get back to you), Kid's Club (thank goodness I do not have any kids, but for all those who do, there is NO excuse not to work out!), Pool (apparently it is salt water), Pro Shop (with ALL my favorite sugar, calorie & carb free energy drinks!), Sauna & Steam Room (when I have more time to myself I plan on sitting in those rooms for hours) & Whirlpool
Monthly Membership Fee: $24.99 (for one club)

PROS: Lots of variety, Nice Staff, Personal Trainers, Cardio Classes, Sanitizing Spray for Equipment, Lots of Parking, Showers with Shampoo & Soap in Locker Room, No Time Limits of Equipment, Good Energizing Music, Variety on TVs, Coffee Shop Right Next Door

CONS: No Towels Provided, Kind of Stuffy, Locker Room Lockers Don't Have Locks (You have to bring your own), Obnoxious People Who Talk Loudly & A lot (but that is not the gym's fault), Personal Trainers & Cardio Classes cost Extra, A Clock Blaring in You Face (screaming @ you that you have ONLY been on the machine for X amount of time! ha ha).

OVERALL: I have never belonged to a mainstream gym before and over all my experience was pretty good. I felt really motivated to work out hard because everyone around me were doing the same (except for this LOUD man who was talking to his two friends - college kids, ugh, ha! How ironic, I am a college student). There are so many cardiovascular machines that I will have no problem mixing up that part of my work out (considering, it is pretty much all my work out)... and hopefully I will gravitate over to the weights to build more upper body strength. To all those who want to join a gym and feel a bit uneasy about it... I think I would recommend 24 Hour Fitness because it has REASONABLE prices (unlike the other gym that I belong to in town... don't get me started on how much it is to belong there for a year) and because even if you don't feel like working out, simply entering this gym will motivate you to hop on a cardio machine and belt out an hour work out!

PS: You can get a free 7 day trial but there is fine print (aka: not 24 hours a day & must be used consecutively)

First Post Ever!

To all of you who have been aimlessly browsing the web and stumbled upon my new blog - hi! I am new to this type of thing but hope to get into the swing of things relatively quickly... That is, after I figure out a theme for my blog. I could go in the direction of healthy food recipes & information or I could go via celebrity gossip, news, movies, etc. I know there are tons of both types of blogs and even blogs that are dedicated to healthy lifestyles of celebrities... but in order to give all of you credible information, I must go along the lines of themes I have knowledge about or am interested in! So maybe that's it... I will talk about the entertainment world as well as health & nutrition - kind of random, I know, but that's just the person I am, random! ha ha.
